Think of Puzzle Piece Productions Web and Graphic Design that falls right into place:
I think my paraphrased Bilbo Birthday Speech will say it all.
I shall not keep you long,
I have called you all together for a Purpose. Indeed, for Three Purposes! First of all, to tell you that I am immensely fond of you all, and that 535 episodes, 6 years and 7 months is too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable hobbits, errr listeners.
I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
if I may be allowed to refer to ancient history, the anniversary of my wife and I completing the move into the new CaffiNation Lair, as we turned the Keys in for our old apartment; though the fact that i had to produce an episode that night was not lost on me. It was called CaffiNation 49: Chapter ending, But also the episode delayed and I pushed episode 50 out the door the same day. I had only produced 49 episodes at that point, and Milestones still seemed important. The episode was splendid, and slow paced, We still had music on the show back then and it’s long since gone. Thank you very much for coming to my little party
Thirdly and finally, I wish to make an ANNOUNCEMENT.
I regret to announce that – though, as I said, 535 episodes is far too short a time to spend among you – this is the END. I am going. I am leaving NOW. GOOD-BYE!
While I lack the ring to make the exit truly epic I want to be clear, the podcast… is ending. The site will live on, and there will be more video and audio down the road, but as it has been the CaffiNation Podcast is done. It has completed it’s 6 years 7 month journey, starting in January of 2006. This is bittersweet, I announced the purchase of my first home, the birth of both of my children. Auto Accidents, sickness, health, laughs and bad jokes.
I wanted to thank people who from day one have been listening, commenting and laughing along. I think the show has been fun, but I also think there are better things down the road.
From here on out this will simply be
The CaffiNation: Home of the well caffeinated geek!
Today’s tunes are an echo of tunes played on Show 50. I missed playing music.
- Jonathan Coulton: Code Monkey
- Daniel Link: 4am Slam over Coffee
- Little Thom: Inside Joke
I remember the first episode and now I hear the final installment. Albeit sadly.
I wish you well Paul and thanks for everything.
